FIPS 140-2 Validation
Mobile Armor announced on April 17, 2009 that it had been awarded Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-2 Level 2 validation for the Mobile Armor Cryptographic Module v3.5 under the joint U.S. National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) and Communications Security Establishment Canadian (CSEC) Cryptographic Module Validation Program.
FIPS 140-2 Validation is a United States Government required certification for encryption technologies that are deployed to governmental agencies and ensures the proper implementation of those technologies.
Mobile Armor FIPS-approved algorithms are (with Cryptographic Module v3.5 Certificate Number):
- Cryptographic Module (Certification #1123)
- AES (Certification #920)
- Triple-DES (3DES) (Certification #740)
- SHS (all SHA) (Certification #907)
- ANSI X9.31 PRNG (Certification #528)
- HMAC (Certification #514)
Mobile Armor's DataArmor™ product achieved "first-of-its-kind" integration of RSA SecurID technology with a full disk encryption product.
The RSA SecurID Ready certification signifies that a technical interoperability has been completed between RSA SecurID technology and Mobile Armor's DataArmor. Mobile Armor software seamlessly integrates enterprise Single Sign-on with RSA RADIUS security services.

Microsoft offers the Designed for Windows logo to help customers identify software and hardware that meet or exceed certain quality standards of compatibility with the Microsoft Windows XP operating system. Mobile Armor announced on July 7, 2005 that it achieved Designed for Windows XP Certification for DataArmor™, its full disk encryption data security product. DataArmor's certification by Microsoft informs users of the high quality of Mobile Armor's data security software and assures the end user of a consistently trouble-free experience when running Windows XP.
The Designed for Windows Mobile logo program was developed by Microsoft to help its customers easily identify mobile devices and software products that are compatible with Windows Mobile-based products and that meet certain quality standards of compatibility with the Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system. Mobile Armor solutions have gone through a rigorous testing process to receive this certification.
