News Alert: What is the problem with the SanDisk USB application vulnerability and how is KeyArmor different?
The SanDisk, Kingston or Verbatim vulnerability announced in December 2009 does not affect the Mobile Armor KeyArmor devices.
Data stored on KeyArmor devices is secure. The problem was in the SanDisk access control application running on the host and
not the SanDisk hardware which is FIPS 140-2 validated. The KeyArmor Access Control Application is built by Mobile Armor
security experts and KeyArmor completely replaces the SanDisk application and encrypts the hardware encryption key with a
KeyArmor device-unique encryption key. Because the Mobile Armor application is used for accessing the secure partition,
data stored on KeyArmor devices (both from SanDisk as well as IronKey) is secure.
