Mobile Armor Strengthens Reach in Data Security Market with New Office in Washington, D.C.

Industry Veterans Join Mobile Armor to Increase Global Market Share

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mobile Armor, Inc., an American owned, operated and developed provider of mobile data and asset protection, today announced the hire of Colin Bastable as senior vice president of global field operations and Bill Rydell as vice president of government services. Bastable will drive the execution of Mobile Armor’s global sales and channel strategy, while Rydell will focus on expanding the company’s professional services capabilities within the federal, state and local government sectors.

Bastable, who has more than 21 years of sales and marketing experience, will be responsible for managing the sales organization, sales integration process and support functions of Mobile Armor’s business, including pre-sales and post-sales support.

Prior to joining Mobile Armor, Bastable most recently served as president of nCipher, Inc., a global leader in protecting critical enterprise data, where he helped to significantly grow North American operations by creating an innovative sales delivery mechanism and global channels program.

Rydell will manage Mobile Armor’s new U.S. government professional services division, a core differentiator for the company that will enable rapid and efficient deployment of its products and solutions among many diverse users. A key function of Mobile Armor’s U.S. government services division will be to develop partnerships with strategic Department of Defense (DOD) systems integrators.

Rydell has previously held numerous IT positions within the federal government, including computer specialist for the Secretary of Defense, William Cohen. In this role, Rydell supervised IT operations for former Secretary Cohen while he traveled the world on official missions, including the Kosovo Peace Accord initiative.
